What you’ll do
- Clean and prepare metal parts before coating.
- Follow the correct wash, rinse, treatment, and drying steps for each job.
- Use required personal protective equipment and follow chemical-handling rules.
- Watch for oil, rust, residue, or other conditions that could affect coating quality.
- Keep preparation equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Coordinate with blasting and coating team members so parts are ready when needed.
What you’ll bring
- Work carefully and consistently around chemicals and production equipment.
- Can follow written steps without taking shortcuts.
- Notice when a part is not properly prepared and speak up before it moves forward.
- Understand that good preparation is a team responsibility and the foundation of a good finish.
